A unique shopping centreRotterdam
Since September we have a new shopping centre in Rotterdam. It’s built underneath the arches of the former station Hofplein. At Mini-Mall you will find nice shops, art and small restaurants. It’s a unique place and the little shops are all from entrepreneurs from Rotterdam. They also organise small events like art-/vintage markets.
What could you expect?
The Mini-Mall is the unique location that shows the rawness of the city of Rotterdam. The former station building that is characterized by the semi circular arches was built in 1908. The station is totally renovated and now a days young creative people from Rotterdam are suited at this place called the Mini-Mall. At the Mini-Mall you will find many different creative shops like Comiquest where they sell comics or the shop Anno, where you will find lovely furniture and clothes with sustainable quality. My favourite shop is Doortje & Gussie. Here you will find beautiful vintage clothes, but also music and art. You can also eat and drink at Doortje & Gussie.
After you have visited all the lovely and creative shops at the Mini-Mall, don’t forget to grab a cup of coffee at cafe Lokaal Espresso. In winter time they serve hot chocolate milk and different kind of soups. Despite the cold you can sit outside because they have fleece blankets on the chairs. So take a seat underneath the fleece blankets and take a sip of your hot chocolate milk, enjoy!
There is more!
Every once in a while they organise small events at the mini-mall. I’ve visited the art and vintage market and it was really nice! For up-to-date-information about the events, please have a look at their website www.mini-mall.nl(also available in English).
The shops don’t have the same opening hours. Please have a look at the mini-mall website for the specific opening hours of the shops.
I work in communications and have kept an on-line fashion journal for years. I'll show you around Rotterdam, my home town, a magical place open on the world. Sparkling restaurants, deliciously hidden between sea and sky. My little extra: globetrotter and multi-lingual
