Bric a brac at the CentquatreParis
Le Bric à brac du Centquatre
5 rue Curial dans le 19e
Spirit of solidarity
The Paris town hall and the Emmaüs association have signed an agreement to open ten Parisian boutiques. The idea? To use objects to raise awareness about people in unstable situations. Furniture and objects are antique, second hand, recycled and made over by Emmaüs employees in rehabilitation. Emmaüs has settled in the East of Paris, at the Centquatre, a cultural space which is now unmissable. To keep it in the spirit of the 104, artists come to work and show their creations.
Bric a brac apartment
The stage set by Frank Fellemann leaves nothing to chance, and the place seems more like an apartment than a shop. You walk from one room to another to hunt out old grandmother’s plates in the kitchen, a lamp from the 70s and a 33 record player in the lounge, and a pretty patchwork quilt in the bedroom… all at unbeatable prices.
Sales Wednesday to Friday from 15:00-18:00 and Saturday from 12:00-18:00.
Donations received on Tuesday from 15:00-18:00 and Wednesday to Saturday from 12:00-18:00.
Mother, bohemian and Parisian, I love Paris' cosmopolitan side and warmth. Exhibitions, walks, outings with the children...I'll take you on a discovery of the most welcoming places in Paris. My little extra: with my love of food as my compass, I always set course for the best lemon tarts in the city.
