Established in 1989, this family-friendly golf club welcomes 800 members a year. Here, golfers don't play to race to victory. Each competition is an opportunity to strengthen social links, create new friendships and indulge in a shared passion for the sport. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than in other Belgian golf clubs. This one of the reasons why Louvain-la-Neuve Golf Club's is such a success.

Open to non-members

Very easy access. That's the slogan which characterises Louvain-la-Neuve golf club. Indeed, there are number of ways access is made easy: firstly, geographically: it's located 20 minutes from Brussels; in terms of inclusiveness: even those playing off a handicap of 36 can access the 18 hole course; and finally economically: thanks to a clear and surprise-free fee schedule (green fee €45 during the week, €70 on weekends and public holidays). You can also hire clubs and a buggy. Only dogs, shorts and t-shirts are not permitted. I've experienced much worse.

The ideal place for a keen (or not so keen) golfer.

I particularly like this golf club because non-golfers are welcome. The Club House is also open to non-members all year round. When the sun is shining, I like to grab a seat on the terrace by the tee for hole 1. It's a nice change of scenery! And if you fancy having a go at golf, why not book - in advance - a beginner's session at the golf school. Lastly, after you've had a great round (3 competitions/week, open to all) on the relatively flat course, with a fair few bunkers and a tricky green, don't leave straight away. I would recommend having dinner in the Club House, how about an "American" (steak tartare) or perhaps at Baïta, the Italian restaurant located at the entrance to the club.

Open every day of the year 10:00-19:00

I'm mad about food. I'm a Brussels native by adoption and I started a fun and girly cooking blog. I decrypt all of the new trends that will eventually show up in your plate! My little extra: surprising culinary discoveries I share with you with great zest and appetite.
