JOGGING IN IXELLES
+ 32 (0) 25156123
The Town Hall of Ixelles in the south of Brussels offers you Pascal, an out-of-the-ordinary coach. Twice a week for one hour, he’ll take you running. All levels are welcome – even a hopeless case like me.
A free coach
Without the presence of Pascal, the coach, I certainly wouldn’t have managed to keep running for an hour. In fact, I wouldn’t even have taken up jogging. Pascal quickly managed to convince me to come running thanks to two key elements: his permanent smile and his coaching rate, which is attractive since it’s non-existent! The group was set to meet on Thursday at 18:00 on Place Sainte-Croix. The objective for the day: to run around the Ixelles ponds. About ten people answered the call.
A good mood guaranteed!Pascal welcomes us with a waterproof vest for each of us, with a fleece lining to keep us warm. After some jogging, with all of us dreaming about our future participation in a half-marathon already, Pascal corrects our foot position and our stance. He encourages us by presenting the other possible routes for the future with distances and levels of difficulty. And he has promised: if we’re good, next time we’ll go for a run in the park around the abbey in the Bois de La Cambre. Like good students, we end the session with some stretching before going our separate ways with a promise to be at the next session on Saturday morning.
Start: Place Sainte-Croix, 1050 Ixelles/Elsene. Sessions on Thursdays from 18:30- 19:30 and Saturdays from 11:00-12:00.

I'm mad about food. I'm a Brussels native by adoption and I started a fun and girly cooking blog. I decrypt all of the new trends that will eventually show up in your plate! My little extra: surprising culinary discoveries I share with you with great zest and appetite.
