Your hosts

Catherine Hunter and her husband Daniel Beauvois made a long sailing trip from France to Australia between 2004 and 2007. When they returned to dry land, full of memories from their travels, they decided to simultaneously open an art gallery and a bed & breakfast. They are always happy to chat and help you discover the city where they have currently dropped anchor.

The concept

Taptoe is located in the Saint Jacques district, in the heart the old city centre of Brussels. Bed & Breakfast Taptoe is a charming guesthouse with rooms distributed throughout three adjacent or nearby houses. The first is a studio-duplex in a 17th-century house nextdoor to Catherine Hunter’s studio and gallery. The other suites are in two apartments in a building dating from the 19th century, located on a traffic-free cul-de-sac, 50 metres from the gallery. The attractive living room and the large kitchen are fully equipped and form part of the communal areas, which encourages interaction between guests, whether your stay is short or long…
