Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

Who would have believed that such complexity could be hidden behind this simple name? Le Quartier Libre offers a menu of four small dishes (hot or cold), to be selected freely from four different categories (meat, cereals, vegetables and dairy products). The establishment’s cuisine is inventive and seasonal. All this for a fixed price of 15 euros. Delicious !

The unmissable shitake croustillant

Some dishes – such as the parmesan risotto and the shitake croustillant with its truffle sauce – have become essential signature dishes! Their success is such that they are rarely off the menu at Le Quartier Libre. For those who are watching their figures, this is also a place where you can eat a light meal.

Two Quartiers Libres

While my culinary reference is based on the outlet located close to Place Flagey, there is another Quartier Libre in the quartier Léopold – the European district. This second address is more suitable for a lunch break rather than an evening with friends as the place is not so lively during the weekends. But regardless of whether you are more a lunchtime or evening person, your war cry will be the same as mine when you see your dishes arrive: “Give no quarter” – everything must be consumed !
Open Monday lunchtime, then lunchtime and evening from Tuesday to Friday, and Saturday evening.

I'm mad about food. I'm a Brussels native by adoption and I started a fun and girly cooking blog. I decrypt all of the new trends that will eventually show up in your plate! My little extra: surprising culinary discoveries I share with you with great zest and appetite.
