Visiting a capital can also be an opportunity to discover its flora and fauna. The Watermael-Boitsfort Ornithology Committee offers a series of unusual activities for seeing life in green.
Protecting the environment
The Watermael-Boitsfort Ornithology Committee came into being on 8 May 1964 with the mission of protecting nature and defending the environment. A green space in the urban area of Brussels, nestled in the shade of the Soigne forest, which is considered one of the most beautiful beech groves in Europe with its varied biotopes, chain of ponds and parks generously planted with trees, Watermael-Boitsfort is home to significant and diverse birdlife. What could be more understandable than jealously wanting to protect it?
Summer and winter, the Watermael-Boitsfort Ornithology Committee uses all its ingenuity to come up with a multitude of activities to show off nature in Brussels from an unusual angle. This way, thanks to the association, I was able to discover the magic of a night time walk in the Domaine des Silex and ringing birds while they feed. Naturally intense!

I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
