Delicious Belgian specialties served in a former firehouseBrussels

Housed in a former firehouse, this restaurant is named for the sound of a fire engine: Pin Pon. Opened in late 2013, Pin Pon is a modern bistro that will set your taste buds ablaze with delight!
Hello, fire department?
Before it was converted in the 1980s into residential and commercial space, this extraordinary building on the place du Jeu de Balle was the headquarters of Brussels' fire fighting force. Disused for over 30 years as the building had become too small, the old Joseph Poelaert fire station stands today as one of the jewels of the lower city thanks to an ambitious architectural and economic programme launched in March 2011. According to the authorities, each day some 6,500 pedestrians pass through the rues Haute and Blaes as well as the place du Jeu de Balle. The appeal of Les Marolles as a neighbourhood is stronger than ever!
In perfect harmony with the overall atmosphere of the site, Pin Pon serves an up-to-date cuisine in which the quality of each item on the menu is a revelation. Under the stunning glass veranda on the first floor, which bathes the entire place in light, the seasonal, Belgian-inspired specialties are a joy to discover. Really lights my fire!
I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
