First of a kind in Belgium
Kinesitherapist by training, Laurent Divry is enthusiastic and keen to try new techniques. Having been impressed by an aqua pedicure using Garra Rufa fish, he decided some years ago to take the plunge. His was the first of its kind in Belgium which many have since tried to emulate without the same degree of success. Working with one hundred of these fish - and not the pale imitation variety, that may be more economical but much less effective - he built the installation currently in place in his salon. Since then he has been bringing happiness to the people of Brussels and their tired tootsies.
Dip your legs into the water up to your calves. The hundred or so Garra Rufa fish cannot resist them! These fish, of 3-7 cm in length, all rush to your feet and begin to nibble. They remove all the dead, dry skin and rough spots. It's a curious sensation, giving you the feeling that you're soaking your feet in sparkling water. Any initial tickles give way to the soothing sensation of a natural massage. The fish release dithranol through their saliva, an enzyme used in certain dermatological treatments, such as in the treatment of psoriasis. Combine pleasure and health benefits for your feet by discovering this delightful oasis.
I teach tennis in the city and also write about culture for a number of publications. I love to travel and meet people. My city? It's an improv concert in a down-to-earth bar, an exhibition built on a work site, a play performed in the heart of the old city... My little extra: combining sport and culture!
