Located in the southern quarter of Antwerp, just opposite the Royal Museum of Fine Art, Den Artist is a Belgian Brasserie where you can taste Belgian specialities such as ‘stoemp’, ‘waterzooi’ or a ‘carbonade flamande’. The food is delicious and the portions are generous too.

Parisian style

The Den Artist brasserie is a refined establishment with something of a chic Parisian café about it, in the fashionable southern quarter of the city. Its unique décor and style immediately capture your attention. The paintings and lights around the room hint at Antwerp’s rich artistic heritage. In the four corners of the main room there are mirrors that brighten the room both during the day and at night.

Belgian specialities

At lunchtime they serve a regal menu which people rush to enjoy on the terrace. The brasserie is renowned for its Belgian cuisine in general and its Flemish cuisine in particular: the ‘carbonade flammande’ (a type of beef stew), the stoemp (a dish made with pureed or mashed potatoes and other root vegetables), or their ‘steak tartare’ are worth the detour!
I particularly like their steak with pepper sauce…it is delicious every time. Apart from the food I also appreciate the welcoming, attentive and dynamic staff.

Open Monday to Wednesday from 8.30 am to midnight, Thursday to Saturday from 8.30 am to 1 am and on Sunday from 8.30 am until 11 pm.
Marie-France, 32 Public relations manager

Born in Africa, I've lived between Europe, the United States and my homeland. A real mix of cultures! I'm always connected to social networks and on the lookout for great fashion, lifestyle, music and outing deals. I work in Antwerp as a public relations manager. I'm also a presenter for a TV music channel. My little extra: I like to get out and meet people.
