Travelling with children means being flexible. At Thalys, we pay particular attention to childrenby offering a range of appropriate services.

Are you travelling with young children?

We thought of everything.

For the under 4s you will find in our coachess 7, 17 and 27 a baby-changing table, a washbasin and a bottle warmer.

In addition to the authorised luggage, you may also take a pushchair on board, free of charge. The pushchair should be folded before boarding and stowed in the baggage racks in the coach in which you are seated.

Babies and toddlers can travel free of charge on your lap and without a ticket.

Young children travel for the small fee of €15 in Standard area, €20 in Comfort area and €30 in Premium area.

Companion service conditions

All minors (children under the age of 18), whether accompanied or not, travel under the responsibility of their parents (or guardians or other persons whom the parents have authorised to accompany them).

In order to cross any national border, parents or guardians must make sure that the children have the necessary documents in their possession. Such documents are required by the competent national authorities.

Please note that Thalys does not allow children under the age of 12 to travel alone.
