Nice and cosy Italian restaurantRotterdam

Pasta strand on the wall
The restaurant has a basic décor and an industrial character that fits well with the city of Rotterdam I think. Small tables and chairs are set up criss-cross through the restaurant. The open kitchen can be found in the back from which delicious olive aromas, fresh garlic, basil and the smell of freshly made tomato sauce come from. The eye-catcher is the large painting on the fifteen-meter long wall. It looks like white curtains, but it is a pasta strand.
Oliva is not an average Italian, but one where the dishes are made with fresh seasonal products and homemade pasta. At the weekend it is very busy, so reservation is advisable. When it is crowded it can be a bit noisy, because of the high ceilings, but do not let that deter you visiting the restaurant. Be surprised by the cook’s specialty with the surprise menu 'Menu Chef' and choose for accompanying wines. Or take the more familiar dishes such as beef Carpaccio or risotto. Also recommended are the fish. Bon Appetit!

I work in communications and have kept an on-line fashion journal for years. I'll show you around Rotterdam, my home town, a magical place open on the world. Sparkling restaurants, deliciously hidden between sea and sky. My little extra: globetrotter and multi-lingual
