A cosy Russian bar where you can sip a vodka* and relive history.

Back in the USSR!

A friend who knows this area like the back of her hand first introduced me to this unique bar. The Molotov is a trendy club and a shrine to the former Soviet Union. Propaganda posters and portraits of Lenin abound in an off-beat atmosphere with liberal use of felt and red velvet decor. Like it or loathe it, but one thing is certain: it won't leave you indifferent!

Goulash & vodka

What I like most about the Molotov is its extensive vodka and cocktail menu (nearly 50 in all). You can also sample small portions of Hungarian goulash, Ukrainian-style borscht, or Czech Medvonik. These are perfect if you're feeling peckish late at night – exotic-sounding specialities that are home-cooked with no frills. You’ll think you’ve crossed the Iron Curtain!
A word to the wise: the entrance is a bit hard to find and the dress code is quite trendy, but this out-of-the-way address is one to remember!

Monday to Saturday (6 pm to 2 am).

* Alcoholic beverages should be consumed in moderation. Please drink responsibly.
