Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

The “Segway” is the fun way of getting to know a city in complete freedom and while doing a bit of sport! It’s fast and you can do it on your own or with a group, but you do need to have at least a moped licence.

So what is The Segway?

The Segway is an electrical (and therefore ecologically sound) vehicle for one person, comprising a 2-wheel platform on which you stand, a gyroscopic stabilising system and a steering shaft which you use to control your movements. At first it all looks incredibly simple, at least it did to me! But in fact you need to have a good sense of balance and the will to master this diabolical mechanism. To drive it, you have to bend your body in the direction you want to go: forwards or backwards to go forward or reverse, to the right and left, while making sure the shaft is in line with your body, to turn. Easy isn’t it?

Have you heard about “speed tourism”?

The MoMoCo team, who specialise in “eco mobility”, don’t only rent out and sell these machines, but they quickly got into tourism as well. They’re available all year round, and will help you see Cologne from new angles, or should I say from new turns?
It’s a really great thing to do and afterwards I was aching all over for more than a week!

Laetitia, 43 LAID BACK

The Cologne area provides my daughters and I with real quality of life. I like conviviality, healthy things, crafts and every kind of creativity. Together, we'll explore the side of Cologne that promotes the art of living. My little extra: the art of living.
