Notice to night shoppers: the "Nachtkonsum" flea market is expecting you in a former goods station. Retro atmosphere guaranteed!

The flea market revolution

Located in different regions of Germany, notably in Munich and Cologne, the "Nachtkonsum" flea market concept (literally "night consumption") has changed the habits of antiques hunters who are encouraged to find second-hand items in unusual places after night falls. Betting on a post-industrial setting, the Cologne version, Jack in the Box, has taken up residence in a former goods station converted into a cultural centre.

A trendy event

More of a happening than a sale, this new generation flea market attracts young, trendy shoppers looking for unusual finds in a very different kind of atmosphere. Lovers of vintage are also there and have a great time going from stand to stand of anachronistic objects and record collections.

Entry: €3
Open from 5:00 pm

I'm a translator and editor for several publications and I love the hidden side of the city, its secret gardens, its discrete gourmet restaurants and its new, high-design spots. Outings with my friends end late at night. My little extra: a dynamic, fun and really trendy Cologne!
