Bonnie et Jane is a clever combination of a second-hand shop, new clothes and vintage accessories. The concept is simple: you can buy everything here, from the sofa to the lamp via the T-shirt and even the paint. If you’re coming to town to shop, Bonnie et Jane is unmissable.

Like a snug apartment

As soon as I walked into the shop, I immediately wondered why I had never heard of it before. The answer: Bonnie et Jane opened in September 2011. This new shop is full of promises, with a concept that is unique in Brussels. The idea is the brain child of two friends who wanted to sell bric-a-brac and branded clothes that could not be found in the capital until then. And if your feet are hurting, rest for a moment on one of the sofas provided. If you like it, you can even take it away with you!

Bohemia and fair trade

If you’re like me and you love the Bohemian chic style, you’ll be won over immediately by the collections from Mes Demoiselles, Charlotte Sometime and a Canadian jewellery designer. I really liked the story of the Matière à réflexion bags, created in Parisian workshops from second-hand leather clothes. Bonnie et Jane also offer fair trade cosmetics and accessories. In the end, I fell head over heels for some hand-made boots in leather and recycled fabrics. Each pair is unique!

Open Tuesday to Sunday (Tuesday – Wednesday: 11:00-18:30; Thursday – Friday – Saturday: 11:0-:00; Sunday: 13:00- 17:00).

Vanessa, 27 GOURMET

I'm mad about food. I'm a Brussels native by adoption and I started a fun and girly cooking blog. I decrypt all of the new trends that will eventually show up in your plate! My little extra: surprising culinary discoveries I share with you with great zest and appetite.
