Truly the jewel of made in Belgium craftsmanship, luxury leather goods by the House of Delvaux have been coveted by the Kingdom's elegant elite since 1829. Ready to take on the world, the company is now launching a new concept in boutiques, which is being unveiled first in Brussels, of course!
Through the centuries
The House of Delvaux is proud of its historic heritage. Created at the beginning of the 19th century, the Belgian company can claim the title of oldest purveyor of luxury leather goods in the world! In recent years, under the leadership of a new director and a new creative team, it has set its sights on an international clientele. From the Belgian Royal Family to Gwyneth Paltrow, their handbags are now carried by cutting-edge fashion personalities with taste. As for me, I could definitely see myself with a little 'Madame' of my own on my arm…
Feipel and Bechameil
To revamp their shop in the Galerie de la Reine, the House of Delvaux turned to a highly respected pair of artists: Martine Feipel and Jean Bechameil. With the support of the Milan-based architectural firm Vudafieri Saverino Partners, they redesigned the space as a worthy backdrop for the magnificent hand-crafted bags. Spacious and bright, these next-generation points of sale favour a discreet luxury. So much so that it's almost like stepping into an art gallery, appropriately enough!
I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
