Buoyed by the success of their first shop in Brussels, Cordelia de Castellane and Ségolène Gallienne, cofounders of the chic children's label CdeC by Cordelia de Castellane, opened a second point of sale in the capital. The love affair with Belgium continues!
Cordelia de Castellane
In 2006, the label CdeC was dreamt up by the creative imaginations of Cordelia de Castellane and her cousin by marriage, Ségolène Gallienne. Describing themselves as each other's perfect complements, the two young women pooled their talents to create children's fashion that's beautiful, practical and affordable. With experience working for Chanel, Gucci and Ungaro, Cordelia took charge of the design for the collection and Ségolène contributed her strategic and marketing vision to the project. It was an instant hit. Less than 10 years after its launch, the label has sales in the multi-million euros. Quite an inspiring performance!
Could it have something to do with Ségolène's Belgian roots that the country has shown such an affinity for the daring duo? After the success of their shop on rue de Washington, the pair recently opened a lovely 80 m2 shop on chaussée de Waterloo. A dream come true for kids and parents alike…
I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
