Games of patience, of manual skill and building sets
I think it's really amazing to see the games people used to play. It's hard to imagine their pass-times in the Internet and digital age. The pre-war building sets are magnificent and perfectly designed, often created in light wood with beautiful illustrations instead of a users' guide. Robots, boats, castles and houses bring back wonderful memories to many visitors, especially when they get to the end of the game and they can admire their creations...
Trains to escape on
One of the nicest parts of the museum is the one dedicated to trains where you will find key models from every decade. Visitors can admire their favourite train, whether it's Fisher Price's Huffy Puffy - from 1963 - or the Joustra train from the 1950s.
Open every day from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
My fashion job takes me around the world throughout the year. I love flea markets and hunting for antiques year round, meeting up with friends at art show openings, going to fashion shows and being first to discover a new restaurant.
My little extra: introducing people to the "arty" and underground side of Brussels!"
