An invitation to enjoy a journey of the soul and a way of resting both body and mind. This appears to be the philosophy at the Brussels Welcome Hotel. Established by a passionate international traveller, this charming hotel is located on Place Sainte Catherine, and has a style all of its own.

Around the world in 16 rooms

Hotel manager Michel Speesters was inspired by the idea of inviting the whole world to his hotel. An inveterate globetrotter, enamoured of Saint Exupéry’s novel Le Petit Prince, he was looking to create a B&B with the facilities of an hotel, one that reflected his travels all over the world, and the result is magnificent. Sixteen unique, theme-based rooms, each one a foreign land. China, Egypt, the Silk Road, Congo, Venice, Tibet and more. Every room is decorated with items picked up by this bargain-hunting traveller.

Comfort and warmth

'Creating a warm and pleasant environment’. This was the idea on which the concept was based. And there really is a lovely atmosphere and a truly warm welcome. Prices are still reasonable and green energy is used throughout. The rooms and their bathrooms are real oases, especially as most of them have a Jacuzzi, which lends an added touch of luxury. A subtle scent of “elsewhereness” that’s sure to appeal to anyone.

Gabriel, 32 TENNIS PRO

I teach tennis in the city and also write about culture for a number of publications. I love to travel and meet people. My city? It's an improv concert in a down-to-earth bar, an exhibition built on a work site, a play performed in the heart of the old city... My little extra: combining sport and culture!
