Nothing like a cultural walk in the heart of Middelheim Park.

Nature and culture

The park held an open air exhibition of sculptures in 1950. It was so successful that the temporary exhibition quickly became permanent. Middelheim Park is a real open air museum now known internationally as a required stop in the city. Contemporary sculptures have gradually been added to the initial 150. The museum now makes new acquisitions of classic and figurative works every year. Nature and Culture live in perfect harmony here. There are works of art everywhere, along the alleyways and in the trees, on the lawn and at the edges of the ponds.

Kim Clijsters

Somewhere in the park, you'll come upon an unusual concrete tennis court. A few months ago, before her last tournament, the professional tennis player Kim Clijsters came to visit along with her friend Ann Veronica Janssens, the artist who created the court. The museum holds exhibitions five times a year and gives visitors the opportunity to attend various workshops. It’s an original idea for children now that the good weather is returning.
Marie-France, 32 Public relations manager

Born in Africa, I've lived between Europe, the United States and my homeland. A real mix of cultures! I'm always connected to social networks and on the lookout for great fashion, lifestyle, music and outing deals. I work in Antwerp as a public relations manager. I'm also a presenter for a TV music channel. My little extra: I like to get out and meet people.
