Beatrixpark is one of the prettiest parks in Amsterdam. It's my oxygen bubble when I need to relax. Nothing like a long walk along the avenues with their retro charm. Created in the 1930s, it's totally discreet and not very busy which suits me fine. I love its history and layout which are full of surprises. An interesting history
Beatrixpark was created in 1936 and designed on a Romantic model before becoming more modern and functional at the end of the 1930s. The park was renamed “Diepenbrockpark”during the German occupation after the composer Alphons Diepenbrock, who was a big fan of Richard Wagner's lyrical outbursts. Today, it's the perfect place for picnics in the springtime and for a long walk on the weekend.
Clean and elegant I like Beatrixpark Lake with its alleyways. It's nice to walk there to get rid of stress. Influenced by English parks, it encourages daydreaming, especially by the fountains and canals. My best ideas come to me when I'm walking on these paths because the peacefulness really frees up my mind.

I love Amsterdam's open spirit. It's easy to meet people and have rich, interesting conversations. The heart of the city is bubbling over with cultural initiatives, secret restaurants and nature routes that relax you in no time. I want to share it all with you!
