Bo Cinq is a restaurant doubling as a lounge bar located right in the city centre. Its discreet facade gives nothing away to indiscreet passers-by and it is only when one enters that the qualities of the place become apparent. Its Mediterranean cuisine is stylish and delicious.

A fusion of cultures

Bo Cinq mixes Arabian cuisine with recipes from the South of France. Its menu is astonishing – but succulent – with very good meats and a very fine wine list. I love the grilled lamb sausages made in-house and the champagne gratin oysters* are excellent. Marilyn Lukies and Mohammed Mahraoui work together in the kitchen, creating impeccable dishes.

A quiet and intimate atmosphere

Mellow, soft sofas, subdued lighting and attentive service make the restaurant a space of relaxation and enjoyment. I enjoy looking at the contemporary art pictures presented in the restaurant room and the old brick walls have been retained, adding a historical touch to the place.

A 24 metre bar

The best thing to do is to head for the bar and to have a glass of something after dining. I like this part, which really becomes lively during the weekend, with an agreeable and eclectic clientele. It is not uncommon to see concerts there in the summer and the ambience really takes off.

Open Monday to Thursday, 5 pm to 1 am, Fridays and Saturdays 5 pm to 3 am, Sundays 4 pm to 1 am.

* Alcoholic beverages should be consumed in moderation. Please drink responsibly.
