Almost everything is possible in this open-air space of 3.5 hectares located next to Flevopark, in the east of the city. You can pet farm animals, pick strawberries from the garden, go fishing or play football. It's designed for all ages and all stages of motor development (including disabled children). There are also water games to help cool down in the summer sun. At the weekend and during the school holidays, an action-packed schedule of activities is organised: painting, making pizzas in a real wood-fired oven, making pedal cars from old bikes, etc.
My cabin in Amsterdam
The undisputed star of Jeugdland (literally translated as the "country of young people"), is the wood cabin village where you can build your own den using pallets donated by local businesses. Experienced instructors assist budding builders in using the tools and nails with care. Children can let their creativity run free: either starting from scratch or improving an existing structure. The constructions are only demolished if they are unstable. So everyone has their chance to make their project last for the duration!
Open from Wednesday to Sunday all year round. From 1st April to 31 October, open 10:00-18:00. From 1st November to 31 March, open 10:00-16:00. Free entry.

I’m the mother of two supercharged children. I’ve also been living a great love affair with Holland for the past 20 years! I’ll take you to places in Amsterdam that will make you feel good, where the products and the welcome are high quality and where, most importantly, you’ll never stress out. Ready to go?
