Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

Based on the secret restaurants model that is gradually emerging in all large European cities, "Dine with the Dutch" invites you to meet Dutch people for the time a meal...at their house!

Easy and convivial

The idea is simple. You go to the Internet, pick the date you want, indicate the number of guests (one person is enough), your hobbies and interests and any special wishes for food. Confirm and it's all set! Hanneke and Michiel play matchmaker and will find you a couple or family where you can go eat. For €50 a person, you will get a good meal (appetizer, main course, dessert) and get to know

Holland from the inside

I discovered this formula thanks to a Dutch couple who are friends of mine and who are among the thirty hosts registered with "Dine with the Dutch. Money isn't their motivation. They really just want to share good times with people from elsewhere who want to get to know Holland differently than through tourist guides. Each host has their own cooking style (don't expect traditional vegetable purees!) and every evening is different. However, in order to really benefit from the opportunity, you have to know English or Dutch because few of the families speak other languages.
Reservation required, preferably 10 days ahead of time.
Laurence, 46 a cool mum

I’m the mother of two supercharged children. I’ve also been living a great love affair with Holland for the past 20 years! I’ll take you to places in Amsterdam that will make you feel good, where the products and the welcome are high quality and where, most importantly, you’ll never stress out. Ready to go?
