When you're in a foreign country, there's nothing like going out for breakfast to soak in the atmosphere of the city.

The best little breakfast in town

There were already a number of cafés in the neighbourhood when Bakers & Roasters opened just over a year ago. To stand out, it had to outdo the standard free Wi-Fi and newspaper formula. Bakers & Roasters did even more. It imported the concept of a real breakfast, which some might say is British, and others, American. You call it what you will! Nowadays everyone is in a rush to get over there because it's probably the best breakfast in town.

And the breakfasts are scrumptious. The dishes are very good, original and varied. You'll be overwhelmed by the selection as soon as you go in: salads, cakes, biscuits, little pies and more. It's all really mouth-watering.

Anyone for brunch?

If you aren't in the habit of getting up early for breakfast, you can go in the late morning. Have the brunch: hash browns, huevos rancheros, eggs Benedict, toast or pancakes served in appetising dishes. A treat!
The restaurant's food is mouth-watering and the setting is warm and cosy. You'll feel really welcome. That's for sure!

I spend a lot of time in front of the computer, but I prefer to be followed on a bicycle than on Twitter. I love Amsterdam for...its little streets, riches, treasures and all of the spots where you can get a really good beer. Follow the guide! My little extra: discovering nature
