In the heart of the Drôme, located on the left bank of the Rhone, Valence offers its visitors the charms of a river town steeped in history.

Valence, la dolce vita

The monuments of the city show its evolution over time and under different influences. Visit the 11th-century Saint-Apollinaire Cathedral or the Moorish house and its 19th-century architecture inspired by Orientalism.

Located on the banks of the Rhône, Valence hosts the largest river port in France. It is criss-crossed with canals and gardens in which you will enjoy losing yourself.

In summer, the city is very much alive: look forward to both excellent music and gastronomy. And in Valence, we don’t do these things by halves! Its festival of gourmet adventures, for example, takes place in September, and brings together nearly 50,000 gourmands and gourmets of all ages over a few days.
