The Gorges du Verdon can be reached from Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, and make up one of Europe’s most highly-renowned canyons. The source of the river is at the Col d'Allos, from which it tumbles more than 2,000 metres down to the waters of the Durance. During its journey, its turquoise waters have carved out a lovely valley dotted with lakes and inlets, which water sports enthusiasts can explore at their leisure time.
