You can’t consider Provence without mentioning the Camargue, an area of flatland, criss-crossed by canals, with a scattering of lakes and populated by horses, bulls and a multitude of birdlife. The best way of exploring this strange region, in which water and sky are one, is to use the paths of the Parc Naturel Régional or hike between Cacharel and Méjanes and along the Digue des Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.
