Stroll through the Père Lachaise cemetery
Bringing art and nature together and setting the scene for meditation and daydreams with a relaxing stroll…
A romantic spot
This cemetery in eastern Paris is undoubtedly the most romantic place in Paris. Lovers, tourists and families, all come here with respect and contemplation. The inscriptions on the tombstones and the names of the paths, some two hundred years old, give the impression of travelling through time. Some of the great people of our time are buried here, writers and musicians next to unnamed graves in the largest green space in Paris.
Memories and culture
The trees intertwine as the blackbirds and crows fly about while you amble through the 44-hectare space. Styles mix and you can encounter Gothic tombs as well as those in a Haussmannien style. It's worth spending a few minutes in the "romantic" area of the cemetery, a historical monument since 1962. A place of collective memory, a stroll through time surrounded by nature, this is what awaits you at the Père Lachaise cemetery.
