This is a new concept, both store and olfactory workshop where you can discover rare plants and take your first steps in perfume making. The store is a temple to fragrances and offers a selection of original products for the palate and the nose. You'll find great gift and decoration ideas that will awaken your senses.

Saint-Germain-en-Laye

It isn’t far from the centre of Paris by RER. In addition to its castle, forests, and cobblestone streets, this beautiful suburban town has an extraordinary little shop that will revive your sense of smell from the anosmia caused by city fumes.

Forgotten fragrances

At Parfum en herbe, you can pretend that you're the latest trendy "Nose" and create your own perfumes with some advice from the owner, Marie-Pier Lecard. She also holds discovery workshops all year long to experience new olfactory sensations or have fun together with your children.

For the less creative among us, the shop has created an inventory of environmentally-responsible essences, perfumes and scented waters. They are created by artisan perfume-makers and smell wonderful, naturally. Infusions, candied flowers, rare vinegars and essential cooking oils will round out your flower basket. It will be wonderful treat for the people sitting next to you on the return Thalys trip!

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 7 pm

Steve, 49 ENTREPRENEUR

Comfortable in working-class neighbourhoods and the tonier areas of Paris, I never get tired of rediscovering this timeless city. The Sex Pistols set the pace when I was younger. New technologies fill my working days now. My little extra: discovering fine eating spots around the capital for romantic dinners!
