Nestled in one of the most beautiful covered passageways in Paris, A priori thé is a trendy tea shop for a sweet or savoury break. Even when it rains, you can eat out on the terrace beneath the immense atrium.

A divine brunch

Bear in mind that this tea shop serves more than just tea! At lunch, the rather upmarket clientele crowds into this small, incredibly fashionable café. Sit down to enjoy the generous portions, the delicious cheese cake, scones and chocolates, but not to lose weight! On the weekend, try the brunch. The most is made of the limited interior space, so be careful not to knock over the cake platter if you venture inside. The atmosphere is one of chattering girlfriends, between the ages of 20 and 70. The terrace, spread out beneath the Galerie Vivienne's immense atrium, provides protection from bad weather and allows children to have a whale of a time playing in the endless corridor.

The Parisian arcades

The 2nd arrondissement is full of covered passageways, originally designed as clever urban shortcuts providing Parisian shoppers shelter from the elements. The Galerie Vivienne is home to top fashion designers (including the oldest Jean-Paul Gaultier boutique!), an eclectic library, an educational toy shop and to-die-for interior design shops.

Brigitte, 39 MOTHER

Mother, bohemian and Parisian, I love Paris' cosmopolitan side and warmth. Exhibitions, walks, outings with the children...I'll take you on a discovery of the most welcoming places in Paris. My little extra: with my love of food as my compass, I always set course for the best lemon tarts in the city.
