Its unassuming frontage on Rue Antoine Dansaert means the Hôtel Café Pacific might almost go unnoticed. But it would be a great shame to miss it.

A well-earned rest

Brussels has so many interesting activities on offer that after you’ve spent a day there, you could almost collapse anywhere with fatigue, without paying any attention to the surrounding décor. But if you must collapse somewhere, why not settle for a small and cosy nest to recover and recharge your batteries for the coming days? The Hôtel Café Pacific was formerly a bourgeois residence and has recently been refurbished, providing a cocooning and private retreat that I really love. Just hearing the floorboards creak beneath my feet gets my imagination going.

The calm before the storm

Its location in the heart of the Dansaert district means the hotel is in a great position, just a few feet away from some of the best designer shops, the stock exchange and the Ancienne Belgique concert hall. But as soon as the door of the Hôtel Café Pacific closes, absolute calm returns to the inside of the house, as though you’re leaving the hubbub of the city behind you.

I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
