Going to concerts by my favourite artists is one of my addictions. I like the electricity that is released in a concert hall filled with animated fans. To experience the rhythm of the most incredible sounds, I go to l’Ancienne Belgique!
So many of the artists on stage at AB want to tell the public just how much they find this legendary hall so magical. At each concert, there is an inexplicable bond between the performers and the 2,700 spectators. It also has a studio, so that the hall can record live albums. The cameras mean that the concerts can be broadcast live on ABtv. Also a fine way to enjoy concerts that are very quickly sold out...
L'Ancienne Belgique has showcased the biggest names in the Belgian and international music scene: M, Vampire Weekend, Vive la Fête, Phoenix, Thomas Dutronc, MGMT, Calogero, etc. L'AB has four programme planners who ensure that there is always a radical selection. Each week, they receive over 200 applications. But then who would not want to shine under the lights of the AB?
I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
