Often considered elitist and reserved for music buffs, jazz can in fact be appreciated by wider audiences. Through a multitude of activities, the Jazz Station invites you to discover a musical genre rich in surprises.
From train station to Jazz Station
The Jazz Station did not earn its moniker by chance. The building was once a sumptuous train station, dating back to the end of the 19th century. Each time I approach the building I am blown away by its architecture and its mixture of Flemish Renaissance Revival and Brabant Baroque styles. It was built over the tracks, making it one of the few stations built on a bridge in Belgium. You won’t believe your eyes!
A multi-facetted musical journey
The Jazz Station is a lively cultural venue that offers a wide range of jazz-oriented activities: concerts, thematic exhibitions, history and initiation courses, musical cocktail parties, etc. After just a few sessions at the Jazz Station I have become an expert on the subject!
Private use of the venue
The Jazz Station is dedicated to sharing, but it can also be used for private functions. It is possible to hire the rooms for events. An original idea, don’t you think?
Open to the public Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm.
I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
