Located in the Ixelles district, near the Avenue Louise, Caroline Van Hoek’s gallery is dedicated to artistic jewellery, with a penchant for striking and unusual designs. Caroline has a nose for spotting new talent and a desire to share those she discovered long ago. Her opening nights are consistently stylish yet unpretentious.

A beautifully preserved facade

Caroline’s gallery was once a local grocer’s and has preserved its original facade, a commendable mark of respect on her part. This unusual approach is reflected in the exhibitions she hosts, which offer a blend of nationalities, styles and creative peculiarities. You can be sure to discover new techniques and incredible designs. Individuality and extremes are most decidedly not out of bounds.

An alternative approach to jewellery

Caroline wants us to see jewellery in a new light, as something that is not merely social and decorative. She supports artists who use a blend of materials in unorthodox ways to produce veritable sculptures that you can wear (or simply admire) every day. Caroline’s choices never cease to amaze me and consistently offer something unexpected.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm and mornings by appointment only.

My fashion job takes me around the world throughout the year. I love flea markets and hunting for antiques year round, meeting up with friends at art show openings, going to fashion shows and being first to discover a new restaurant.
My little extra: introducing people to the "arty" and underground side of Brussels!"
