What hungry carnivore has not dreamed of a gargantuan menu where the sky is the limit? In the Sainte-Catherine district, a stone's throw from La Bourse, Amadeo boasts its successful specialty with pride: spare ribs.

All you can eat


Located in the Flemish district not far from the centre, Amadeo offers a spare rib dining experience that was first tried in Ghent. The idea is simple: choose the grilled meat and eat as much as you like. A friend recommended this spot, whose interior decor intrigued me. With small tables carrying check tablecloths and large, laden bookshelves lining the walls, it appears to be a blend of Flemish and Oriental influence.

Amadeo can host up to 270 people and an army of waiters ensures you will be well looked after. The ribs are caramelised to perfection and are usually devoured in no time at all. The menu contains a few other enticing surprises: the grilled king prawns are sure not to disappoint and the mixed grill served with garlic butter is a delight. Personally, I have never managed more than three portions. How about you?
