Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

In just two years, RA has become the most switched-on concept store in Antwerp! This attractive shop was created by two former students of the Antwerp Royal Academy in the antiquarian and artists’ district of Antwerp. Going to RA is not just a shopping experience, it is also somewhere to read and to dine.

RA?

Like me, you might be wondering what the name signifies. The hippest shops generally affect names with an Anglo-Saxon resonance, but not in this case, far from it. Just taking the initials of the two founders, Romain Brau and Anna Kushnerova, the shop name went for sobriety, in keeping with the space it occupies.

Pride of place for young designers

At RA, there are many designers fresh out of the Antwerp Academy or from Saint Martins in London. The designers are Belgian, Russian, Swedish and Japanese, a veritable cultural "melting pot" in fact, bringing together unique and innovative pieces. To avoid being totally lost in this temple of fashion, a number of seasoned designers such as Kitsuné, Gareth Pugh, John Rocha and Topshop also add to the selection.
There is also a vintage area, nothing like the chaotic second-hand clothes shops we know about, and this is where you find the really specialist items.

A place of life

What I adore about RA is that they do things completely differently from anyone else. In fact they treat their shop as a convivial space where you can enjoy the shopping just as much as an exhibition or a coffee, just immersing yourself in the show put on by the hip customers themselves.

Cynthia, aged 22 party girl

I'm a globetrotter and curious about everything. I like to move and party. I love the culture and vibe of this city, its artistic effervescence and its young, cosmopolitan population never short on projects or ideas. My little extra: hyperactive student!
