Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

For a hot meal or a quick bite before you go home, there’s nothing like FEBO, Holland’s specialist fast food outlet.

A wall of krokets

All the FEBO outlets feature the same thing: I’m talking about the famous wall, which tourists find so intriguing, with mouthed compartments in which you’ll find fried food for sale. Slide one of them open and take out a cheese soufflé, a breadcrumbed chicken kebab or a ragout kroket (deep fried, breadcrumbed ragout), which is a national speciality. It’s fast, cheap and so popular that the Dutch have created an expression especially for this type of food, which translates as “eating from the wall”.

All over the city

With 23 outlets in Amsterdam (and more than 200 in the Netherlands), you can’t miss FEBO. Some of these are open air and have chip shops as well as the well-stocked snack wall, while others have a small area where you can sit down to eat in peace. And as FEBO always shuts late (usually 10 pm, 3 am in the city centre and sometimes even 6 am at weekends), when you’re walking around at night you need never be hungry again !
Laurence, 46 a cool mum

I’m the mother of two supercharged children. I’ve also been living a great love affair with Holland for the past 20 years! I’ll take you to places in Amsterdam that will make you feel good, where the products and the welcome are high quality and where, most importantly, you’ll never stress out. Ready to go?
