This versatile world of well-being offers the benefits of Aachen’s waters and spa traditions from around the world.
The benefits of Aachen’s warm sources were discovered by the Romans who built the city’s first baths. Charlemagne was a fan of thermal waters and revived the tradition which had been abandoned by then. The "Carolus" thermal baths pay homage to him by using his name.
Benefits from around the world
The diversity found at the Carolus facilities is astonishing. Roman baths, hammams, Turkish and Icelandic baths, Asian and Baltic saunas, caves, terrace, beach...well-being is available from a wide range of traditions. It’s somewhat like a huge thermal amusement park. The Carolus baths also offer a programme of massages and body care à la carte for absolute relaxation.
