Discover the cool districts by bike
The city of Rotterdam isn't very big and hiring a bike is the ideal way to get around. If you decide to explore Rotterdam by bicycle, get yourself a map and mark out the streets and locations that you wish to visit.
To give you some direction on your biking adventures, here are some unmissable sights. Let's start with Zwart-Janstraat (Rotterdam Noord), where you will find all sorts of boutiques in the midst of a colourful crowd – typical of Rotterdam. You're sure to love Pannekoekstraat (Pancake street) and Meentin, the city centre, which are well-known and very enjoyable. If you are looking for a typically "old Holland" attraction, then head to Delfshaven. Need a break or a drink? Stop off at the Ooievaarin Café, in the oldest part of Delfshaven. From there, you can easily rejoin Nieuwe Binnenweg, where you will find all sorts of lovely gifts and original clothes shops. Do you still have a bit more energy in the tank? Then head to Scheepvaartkwartier. It's a beautiful quarter of Rotterdam, close to the Meuse, with historic buildings, a little port and a lovely park. And there concludes your bike tour!
