Ed Van Der Elsken "Camera In Love" exhibition
Enfant terrible of the Dutch photography, Ed van der Elsken would have liked to have transplanted a camera into his head to permanently record the world around him.
He sought in reality an aesthetic form, a visual authenticity, a beauty that was sometimes openly sensual. His astonishing work consists of photographs, films and books reflecting the world between 1950 and 1980.  "Camera In Love" is the first retrospective of the artist in France and presents a large selection of some of his most iconic images.

The Museum
Iconic cultural institution located in the Tuileries Gardens, Jeu de Paume has gained an international reputation as an art centre that exhibits and promotes all forms of imagery (photography, cinema, video, installation, online creation, etc.) from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The venue ties together different narrative strands, mixing the historic and the contemporary and presenting established, little-known and emerging artists. It produces exhibitions, and also film programs, symposiums, educational activities or publications.
