Margreeth Olsthoorn is probably the most stylist woman of Rotterdam and has her own high-end fashion store in the centre. A real must see for people who like luxurious, stylish and minimalistic clothes for men and women. Margreeth sells clothes of the Belgium fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester, the Dutch brand Avelon, the Swedish brand Acne and many more.

Own style

Margreeth Olsthoorn had two stores at the famous Witte de Withstraat, but she just moved to a bigger place at the end of this street, the Schilderstraat. Now the women and men clothes are soled beneath one roof. She sells the most amazing clothes of collections from designers like Rick Owen, Viktor & Rolf, Comme Des Garcons and many more. She only buys the items from the collections which she felled in love with. She has a typical style, very sleek and minimalistic. You will not find that much colours or prints in her store.

Piet Paris

The store is enormous, but as she says: ‘’beautiful clothes need space’’. And I couldn’t agree more. The showpieces hang at chromium bars along the wall. A couple of ‘life like’ mannequins, made by the famous artist Piet Paris, show the favourite outfits. In the long white counter you find unique trinkets that you have to admire piece by piece. If you wonder if the clothes match your bank account: the prices start around 70 euros end ends far above.

I work in communications and have kept an on-line fashion journal for years. I'll show you around Rotterdam, my home town, a magical place open on the world. Sparkling restaurants, deliciously hidden between sea and sky. My little extra: globetrotter and multi-lingual
