Here is an organic supermarket where you can shop AND get a bite to eat. Breakfast is excellent and the shelves are lined with quality products - an unusual and practical experience.

Two birds with one stone

It’s Saturday morning. You need to fill up the fridge, which has been empty for several days now, and you are also desperately in need of a good breakfast. The solution? Start your day in a supermarket where you can enjoy breakfast and do your shopping immediately afterwards. We're not talking about wolfing down some fast food in a shopping mall, but having a real breakfast, in an organic supermarket no less!

Organic and tasty too

At Temma you can do your shopping in "total organic mode" and/or enjoy some food between the aisles. In addition to this unusual concept, I really appreciate the quality of the products. From hot chocolate to Brötchen (a typical German bun) to original creations such as the traiteur (a sort of rolled puff pastry filled with ham and soft cheese), I had a real feast!

Let the grocery shopping begin!

After this gourmet interlude, it's time to get serious. I am not an organic “purist” by any means, but sometimes I like to try a “natural” product, even if it is a bit pricier. At Temma, as in other “small” organic supermarkets in Cologne, a wide range of organic products and brands are on offer. You can find everything from fresh produce (meat, cheese, antipasti), local (or not) fruit and vegetables, cosmetics and even organic beer*!

Open Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm.

* Alcoholic beverages should be consumed in moderation. Please drink responsibly.

Coralie, 31 JOURNALIST BY DAY

I'm a translator and editor for several publications and I love the hidden side of the city, its secret gardens, its discrete gourmet restaurants and its new, high-design spots. Outings with my friends end late at night. My little extra: a dynamic, fun and really trendy Cologne!
