The horse's cousin, the donkey, makes a wonderful, smart and affectionate companion. It’s a little known fact that their companionship is very healthy for people. Donkeys make people feel happy and relaxed. Marie-Pierre Bastin offers a tour of Brussels in the company of her gentle friends.

Marie-Pierre's donkeys

With their big ears and soft eyes, donkeys have all the assets they need to win over young and old. Who has ever forgotten Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, one of the heroes of our childhood? Marie-Pierre Bastin loves animals and her life was changed when she got to know this very social creature. Trained as an educator, she decided to combine her passion for donkeys with psycho-social and educational work. She created the Anatole association in 2004.

Communing with nature

Marie-Pierre Bastin has been promoting the benefits for people of working with donkeys for the past ten years. Her many projects include a tour for families and friends in the enchanting Forest of Soignes. Two donkeys and their handler take walkers on tours lasting an hour and a half, three or six hours. It's different and very relaxing. You'd think you were in a fairy tale...

I work as a fashion consultant, tear through the papers every morning, race off to concerts whenever I can and claim ""belgitude"" as a guarantee of original quality! My little extra: new shops, trendy concept-stores, organic restaurants and artists' workshops.
