Duke's is an annex of You, the well-known club across the street on rue de l'Homme Chrétien. It's a more intimate venue - cosy and trendy at the same time - far from the infernal clamour of the dance floor. It aims to be a simple and welcoming place, best suited to parties with colleagues or friends, although seduction might be on the cards too.

Cupid's alcove

Although distinctly separate, the two venues are only a few metres apart and are really united. Serial lovers might think they can track down their potential dates at You and then take them onto Duke’s. It's nice to have a drink there - even alone - sitting on the upholstered benches, with pretty, comfy velvet cushions.

Accessible but selective

Open Thursday to Sunday inclusive - from 23:30 - it's a mainly straight crowd that go there but on Sundays it's also gay friendly. The "Follow me" concept on Sunday nights is simple: attract the You clubbers to the different atmosphere of Duke’s. One tip: Dress smartly, it's a well-dressed kind of place and not looking your best is frowned upon.

My fashion job takes me around the world throughout the year. I love flea markets and hunting for antiques year round, meeting up with friends at art show openings, going to fashion shows and being first to discover a new restaurant.
My little extra: introducing people to the "arty" and underground side of Brussels!"
