Ready for a group fitness session outdoors? Friskis&Svettis invites anyone interested to take over the Parc du Cinquantenaire with them. Everyone meets in the park on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June through the end of August to get healthy and have fun.

It's springtime and everyone wants to get rid of their stress and that extra weight they put on over the winter. Is the gym too expensive? You don't like to work out alone in front of a mirror? The company offers free outdoor group workout sessions to get back in shape while having a good time. Everyone goes at their own pace. No more waist, abs and butt exercises or Step aerobics!

I arrived at the Cinquantenaire full of good intentions at 7:30 pm on Tuesday. A dozen or so people were already waiting for the workout to get started. Waist, abs and butt exercises and step aerobics were all consigned to the closet! Our teacher made us do some warm ups. Then we moved on to awareness and flexibility movements then to cardio-vascular work. It was just what I needed! Recovery, stretching then relaxation. The hour flew by. See you next week!
