I was looking for an unusual birthday present and I was making my way to the boho neighbourhood behind the stock exchange to find that special something.

Geek boutique

This small shop sells a huge variety of fun objects. The neat, open presentation really highlights the geek-eccentric treasures on display in the shop. The light is amazing. You feel like you're climbing into a spaceship en route to planet Melmac. Alf is nowhere to be seen of course, although many of the creatures of his era like E.T., Goldorak and R2D2 have taken refuge at Whazup.

Try it, you'll love it

You'll quickly be at a loss. Fortunately, Stéphanie was there to help me find the present I needed. Finding a present for a friend can quickly turn into a frantic shopping spree for yourself! Why not get a Scratch Map (a wall map of the world where the countries are covered with a layer of gold foil that has to be scratched off), or Pac Man cuff links? Or a t-shirt with Mario and Luigi around the fireplace roasting a turtle shell? Or a mini i-phone arcade cabinet, a Space Invaders ice cube tray, or... It's all irresistible.
Gabriel, 32 TENNIS PRO

I teach tennis in the city and also write about culture for a number of publications. I love to travel and meet people. My city? It's an improv concert in a down-to-earth bar, an exhibition built on a work site, a play performed in the heart of the old city... My little extra: combining sport and culture!
