A cup of tea while waiting for summer? Then accept Univers du thé's invitation to go on a delicious journey. It's a shop full of charm and flavours.

Cast the anchor at the Sablon

The last time I was in the area, the place was under investigation by two police officers carefully sifting through teas. While the scene may have been somewhat comical, it was very revealing. No one can resist the charm of this unusual place: a small shop with wood floors, shelves and ceiling. It looks like a boat returning from Ceylon with a hold full of treasures with exotic names. You can find an incredible number of loose teas packaged in pretty little sealed pouches to keep them fresh.

The call of the bells

There are tablets on the shelves where a thousand elixirs wait to flower. On the tablets are small glass bells to protect the tea samples. It's pretty and quite clever. To tame their fragrance, carefully raise the divine cupola and let yourself be transported by their divine exhalations. There are black, white, green, semi-fermented, and smoked teas as well as rooibos. It’s a labyrinth of delights. Delicacies, bowls, tea canisters, mate bowls, teapots and cosmetics make it a perfectly intoxicating world.
Gabriel, 32 TENNIS PRO

I teach tennis in the city and also write about culture for a number of publications. I love to travel and meet people. My city? It's an improv concert in a down-to-earth bar, an exhibition built on a work site, a play performed in the heart of the old city... My little extra: combining sport and culture!
