A journey in time, through the flavours of the world. Les trouvailles de Louise [‘Louise’s discoveries’] is an ably designed location with an atmosphere of a grocery from the old days. The cuisine it offers is easy on the palate and smells good.

From newspapers to ovens

In another life, Louise was a journalist in the Philippines. She has always retained her curiosity from those days, and a taste for sharing. In 2006, she opened a grocery / tea room where she offered her discoveries as so many products arranged on the shelves making the place attractive to look at. From English biscuits to brownies, from Chilean olive oil to Cuban brown sugar, the diversity of the selection was extraordinary.

Culinary art

As with the apothecary, the stall is full of wonderful remedies. Delicious teas alongside sumptuous coffees. On the plate, so much to please the taste buds. Samosas, hummus, divine salads and ravishing sandwiches. Try “Pablo's request”, a masterful combination of pesto, mozzarella, dried tomatoes, Parma ham and rocket in an organic ciabatta. Marvellous quiches, almond and cardamon cakes, and rhubarb tart. Once a month, a foreign chef comes to share the cuisine of their country. Immerse yourself in this land of flavours and curiosity.

Gabriel, 32 TENNIS PRO

I teach tennis in the city and also write about culture for a number of publications. I love to travel and meet people. My city? It's an improv concert in a down-to-earth bar, an exhibition built on a work site, a play performed in the heart of the old city... My little extra: combining sport and culture!
